We just spent 2 hours in Babies R Us registering for my baby shower and we have over 200 items. I know I’m not going to get everything, and it was mainly just to show various gift options, but what items are absolute musts and what items can wait? This is my first baby so I haven’t been able to test anything out yet. Thank you! =)
I have a soon to be 6 month old son. He has always sweat a lot. He sweats when he eats and when he sleeps. He wakes up in the morning with a sweat ring around where his head layed. Seriously though for about a week, his sweat on his head smells like vinegar. He is a very clean baby, gets bathed every other day and sometimes everyday (more recently because of the smell) Ive read online about the things he eats, but he only eats stage 1 baby food (prunes, applesauce, sweet potatoes, pears and squash) He also drinks similac powder formula…but his diet has not changed. He is a large baby in the 95th percentile for weight and height. Doc said he was a very healthy baby at his 3 month doc appointment. Child has never been sick and is not acting any differently. I have not changed his bathing soap or clothes detergent or anything. His doctor appointment is on the 13th of this month. What could this possibly be?
Called the doc and he still wants to keep his regular appt for the 13th. However doc may think I am dressing him too warm because he broke out in a little heat rash last week, hes not positive that has anything to do with the smell. Haven’t noticed the smell since the day after I posted this question. In response to Angela, young babies are not supposed to be bathed everyday. Every 2 or 3 days the doctors recommend because they aren’t moving around or doing any real physical activity. If you bathe them every day their skin will dry out which is what happened to my son at first. But thank you for your input.
I’ve always been obsessed with shopping for babies because everything is just so cute! Recently, I’ve gotten interested in diaper cakes, diaper animals, sock bouquets, etc… and I’m seriously considering selling things like this. For now, I want to start a website to sell the things on (locally) but eventually, maybe I could open up a shop.
Anyone have any other craft items I could do to sell? I can’t sew, but I’m pretty crafty with putting stuff together and painting and such.
My daughter is 5 1/2 weeks old and 4lbs 9oz…I’d like to estimate what clothing sizes would be appropriate for certain seasons. I know that all babies are different, but I’d just like to compare. Is your baby/child still smaller than most and did their clothing size eventually match their age?
I asked this in another section but have not got any answers. i found a crib mattress at Babies R Us today and I love it but it’s what I would consider a little expensive. I am willing to spend it because I like it so much… plus I have a 15% off coupon. It originally is priced at 9.
It was the most firm mattress and it had nothing to do with it’s prettiness. It was quite plain. I was told that firm is best and that one was most firm.
What brands of baby clothes are considered to by higher end, fancy brands? Not the super high end stuff that only the super rich people can buy. I’m thinking about the nice brands that upper middle class people might like to have for their babies and toddlers.
we are finding out the sex tomorrow 
[that is if the baby lets us, lol] and i was just wondering…when bringing your baby home, did they fit in newborn clothes or did they need preemie sizes for the first week or so? my sisters both have kids and said preemie clothes will fit most babies for a few days. was this true with yours? should we buy a preemie and newborn outfit and take both when i deliver to see what works? im asking this cause the one thing we are buying tomorrow is the coming home outfit.

They do have a "No shirt, No shoes, No Service" policy. They do make baby shoes you know and socks do not count. Plus, the mother was talking about her baby does not walk and is never on the floor but in the news clip she has the baby on the floor the whole time. I personally think Burger King should have called the cops immediately and had the baby banned for it obvious disregard for store policy and the mother should face a full scale investigation by the local child protective services agency no matter what the cost is to tax payers.

I do not have to be a parent to want to eat in a clean restaurant and barefoot babies do not help.
Ive found so many web sites on punk rock,gothic baby clothes but what im really after is sleepsuits(sleepers)for babies 0-6 months old.Theres Plenty of the ones that go on the inside. but i just cant find any sleepers (sleepsuits) with skulls or funny cute ones.
Basically dont want the baby clothes that go on in the inside,i want the clothing that go on the outside(sleepsuits).
I dont mind if anyone can post a website from the U.S.A also.Just cant find any websites that just sells cool sleepers ,only onsies that go inside.
