My 17 month old son has had this rash for going on 3 weeks now! I’ve used Boudreaux’s Butt Paste, which has been a God-send in the past, and I’ve also used hydrocortisone and Bactroban. I even give him a quick bath after each diaper change then pat him dry. It’s hurting him so bad that he won’t sit on his right butt cheek. Anyone have any home remedies that I may not know about?
Just to be clear, for the one that said for me to change his diaper (DUH!), he gets his diaper changed as soon as he wets or poops and I’ve been doing it ever since this started. I appreciate all your serious answers! And to the lady that suggested Triple Paste, funny you mentioned that, because I just returned from the store and bought some, so we’ll see how it works! I’ve even made a doc appt for tomorrow to see what they say. Thanks again guys!!

I have a two month a old. She was a preemie. She has finally reached newborn clothes. however, I’m having problems when it comes to feeding time. When i breast feed her she eats all the way until I have no more breast milk left. I have been trying juice and rice cereal but nothing works. I really do not want to put her on formula. please help!

I have a soon to be 6 month old son. He has always sweat a lot. He sweats when he eats and when he sleeps. He wakes up in the morning with a sweat ring around where his head layed. Seriously though for about a week, his sweat on his head smells like vinegar. He is a very clean baby, gets bathed every other day and sometimes everyday (more recently because of the smell) Ive read online about the things he eats, but he only eats stage 1 baby food (prunes, applesauce, sweet potatoes, pears and squash) He also drinks similac powder formula…but his diet has not changed. He is a large baby in the 95th percentile for weight and height. Doc said he was a very healthy baby at his 3 month doc appointment. Child has never been sick and is not acting any differently. I have not changed his bathing soap or clothes detergent or anything. His doctor appointment is on the 13th of this month. What could this possibly be?
Called the doc and he still wants to keep his regular appt for the 13th. However doc may think I am dressing him too warm because he broke out in a little heat rash last week, hes not positive that has anything to do with the smell. Haven’t noticed the smell since the day after I posted this question. In response to Angela, young babies are not supposed to be bathed everyday. Every 2 or 3 days the doctors recommend because they aren’t moving around or doing any real physical activity. If you bathe them every day their skin will dry out which is what happened to my son at first. But thank you for your input.

My son is 7 1/2 months old, he was to the dr. the last week of sept for a double ear infection. He was given zithromax and a decongestant. Two 1/2 weeks later we were back again, and he had another. Again zithromax was given. LAst Tuesday we were bcak and one ear is still pink. We were told to finish zithromax, he was given a steriod, as well as Zyrtec in case of zllergies causing the fluid. I am very careful when bathing, do not prop bottles, his head is always inclined when my husband or I feed him, and my mother is his sitter and is even more cautious (we are pretty protective to say the least of the kids:)hehe) and it has just been a battle. the past 2 nights, he has been up every 1/2 hour or so, cranky during the day, not napping, and pulling and batting at his ears again. Any adivce? Tomorrow I am going to a new pediatrician, maybe asking for ENT referral if it is still ears, and also making a chiropractor appt, as it helped for his reflux as a newborn. Any advice until then?

ok my son will be 6 months on the 14th, he has been reaching his milestones one after another after another.. he has one tooth through the gum and two i can see coming, he can roll over both ways immediatly after laying him down, he pulls his feet up to his mouth, shakes toys and picks them up, removes pacifier and tries (sooo cute!) to replace it.. he can sit if i hold his hips, bbut is wobbly and falls forward if i let them go. now to his size.. he still fits into some newborn clothes and wears all 0-3 month clothes all brands.. he was 5 weeks early weighing 6 7.7 and 19.5 inches long, he has grown roughly ( its darn hard to try to measure an awake baby at home lol) 25.5 in and roughly weighs 12.5-13 lbs. his head still measures the same as at his last appt at 3 months where they put him on nutramigen because he wasnt gaining weight on enfamil and breastmilk. . i feel like he is still sooooo small compared to other children.. i just need comfort, he has an apointment coming up but im so nervous that he is growth wise soooo far behind. ( my great grandmother was at her tallest 4 foot 10 )
thank you for all the answers! it sounds terrible but please dont judge me, i never met his biological fathers family, but from what i was told they are all kinda short, but fat.. he left us when i found out i was pregnant and the army has a great way of hiding people.. My mothers side (great grandma, my grandpa , my mom and one aunt, and myself are all around 5’5 and average+ a bit o’ love lbs.. ) are all shorter, my moms mother, My father and his entire family are in the high 5 feet to 6’5 range. . so seeing Gabe in my father and brothers arms it really takes me back a few steps.. he seemed huge to be a premie, and he was, but its like he hasnt grown much since then.. i love him even if he stays the size he is now.. my little man. <3

My daughter is 1.5 yrs old and until now, we’ve been using a sleep sack as her blanket…is it safe at this age to use a baby blanket in her crib or do we still need to worry about suffocation hazards? Going to ask her doc at her 18 mo appt but just wondering if anyone knew about it?

Hey New Mommies,

Okay heres the story .. I had a baby 3 months ago, and during my pregnancy I gained a whopping 60lbs… Before i got preggo i was a very happy size 7 and 135lbs. Now im size 11/12 and 170lbs.Since i had the baby i’ve only gotten down to 170 which was what i weighed in at the dr’s at my last appt on January 20th. It has now been two months and since have not lost 1lb, ughhh.. I grateful that my boby has changed due to a beautiful blessing of a babygirl. But my self esteem on my body is horrible. I;ve been eating right and trying to get a workout in as much as i can. But we all know how hard it is with a new baby. But i refuse to hide myself this summer. I want this to give me the most motivation to get in really good shape so at my next pregnancy i will be in much better shape and will know how to control my eating ..Ha Ha. I hate my clothes My taste in clothes has changed so much since i had the baby.. and my closet is full of junior clothes styles, and to go shopping and spend $$$ on clothes that might not fit in a month or so b/c of weight loss would be a waste. I want to shop when im happy with my body again. Any tips to help get my weight down.
I will say that i def losing inches and my waist is getting back to that hour glass shape which im happy about. Its my butt and thighs that need the TLC. … I wouldnt mind so much a small waist and lil wider hips i just want to loose the FAT !!!.. and feel sexy again.

Please help girls… I know it was alot but im really in the dumps…
