I am 19 and 4 months pregnant. I recently found out in a 4D scan that I am having a baby girl.

I am studying to be a solicitor and my fiancé Matthew is 21 and is a teacher. We have been together 6 years and recently got engaged. We have a lovely house and love each other so much.

However the baby is not Matt’s. The baby is the result of me sleeping with a guy Adam while me and Matt briefly split up. We used protection but it split. Me and Matt got back together 2 weeks later. Adam is 29 and unfortunately I did not know that he is married and has two sons aged 8 and 7. He is wealthy and although he and his wife are not properly together they are still married and money is soooooo important to him. He’s wealthy, has his own businesses and flaunts his cash. He’s contacting me looking to know about the baby and begging me to keep quiet. He wants to keep me quiet with money and presents! He hasn’t told his wife and doesn’t plan on. He is really happy and excited about our baby girl but wants her to be a secret. How is this possible? Everyone thinks the baby is Matt’s even my parents and Matt’s parents!

Adam is ringing me constantly. I want to change my number. He’s calling to my house. I want to move. He wants to go to scans. I don’t want him there. I want Matt. I want Matt at the birth. Not Adam. I want Matt’s name on the birth certificate. Not Adam’s. Can I do any of these? Can I put Matt’s name as the father or would I have to put no father’s name on the birth certificate instead of Adam’s?

Sure thing is that my baby won’t have Adam’s surname. Adam doesn’t want to tell his wife about his daughter but expects that he can get what he wants! He has even got his friend to buy our baby LOTS of pink clothes and has planned an interior designer to decorate a nursery for her in my house! I’m glad that he’s enthusiastic but he’s dominating. Adam and Matt dislike each other and none of my family like Adam. I have lost weight and Adam shouted at me saying I am not eating! Before I became pregnant I was a US size 0 / UK size 4 but have went up to a US 2/4 or UK 6/8 depending on types of clothes. Adam said I dress slutty and look like a blonde playboy bimbo whore! He makes me sad and I cry but I know if I tell Matt then he would go crazy at Adam and that would cause more difficulties.

Matt is 100% supportive and wants the baby to be his. Adam is causing major problems. There IS 3 people in our relationship and 1 baby. LOTS of people are advising me to have an abortion even though I am 16 weeks! But apparently if I act quickly it will all be alright. Someone even said "Think of your baby as one of your stupid blonde moments!" Matt & Adam want the baby but people are harassing me about an abortion…and I feel sick thinking about them wanting me to kill my little girl.

What do you think about these people? Should I listen to them? What should I do about Adam & Matt?
Matt KNOWS the baby IS NOT his…But he is acting like it IS his
I don’t want to lie to people…but Adam won’t let me tell the truth because IT WILL cause more problems.. such as his divorce, his business will lose money etc. That is why he doesn’t want the truth to be told and if I tell it he WON’T talk to me again

I am 4 months pregnant and cannot afford to buy any maternity clothing-my husband just doesn’t see a need for it and he controls all the money. Does anyone know of a way if there is one I can alter my existing pants? I have a string tied around the button and the button hole to keep them on but this is so painful. Any ideas?

Right after my husband ate peanut butter on crackers he picked up our son. (I don’t eat it – I’m still breast feeding & baby is 4 months) He wiped his hands off but didn’t wash them in the sink. The baby now has a rash on his skin of red spots just in one area…he’s never had a rash before other than "newborn rash" Could this be his skin having a reaction to contact with the peanut butter?

How long did you swaddle your baby for? Should I stop swaddling my son now that he’s 4 months old?

My daughter is 9 and the oldest of 6 kids. As you can imagine, with 6 kids, 3 of which under the age of 4, laundrey can be a LOT to do. I want to ask my daughter to start doing her laundrey and maybe helping with the babies clothes but my husband is against it and says that is the mothers job not the childs…..what do you think? Can I ask her to do her own?
I’m not saying I can’t handle it, but everyone wants help now and then. I had a baby 4 months ago then major surgery after, so I cant stand or bend for long periods of time. I’ve asked my husband to help but he says its the wifes job.

I know this sounds silly but I just want to hear from other mothers to see what you are doing to keep your burp clothes and blankets SAFELY clean. My daughter is 4 months old and teething like a mad women and she isn’t taking to teething rings or other teething helpers. She has her fists in her mouth, sometimes she trys to get both in there, lol… or has her blanket or burp cloth in her mouth. I was told the other day that this could be harmful due to the detergent and softeners. Here’s my regimen, please advise and let me know what you done to conquer this issue.

I use ALL Free & Clear detergent (no perfumes or dyes) and then add an extra rinse cycle to the wash. I was using a softener but stopped as soon as I heard the unsettling news. I then put it in the dryer without a dryer sheet.

On a second note: How do I get my baby blankets soft if no softener is used?? Any natural remedies??

For the record, I am asking this because I am a new mother that was told this could be dangerous. That is WHY I am asking the question. As I said, "This may sound silly but.." I am just trying to do the best for my little girl, that’s all. I appreciate all of your answers, keep them coming.

Dreft Detergent? Is it better than ALL Free & Clear??? Or is it just a gimmick?

just wondering. my baby is 4 months and I still swaddle him for naps because it helps him sleep longer. he has a hard time putting himself back to sleep. I’m just wondering when he doesn’t want to be swaddled anymore will he be able to put himself to sleep by then??

I have a 12 week old little girl, and I was just wondering when everybody started giving there baby’s a little bit of cereal in the bottle? My mom & aunties said they started around 4 months. My little angel just doesn’t seem satisfied with her formula anymore, She’s just eating so much! Sometimes she drinks a 6oz bottle after 6oz bottle and then 2 more oz. Which is a lot of ounces for a 11 and a half pound baby girl. Any advice? Thank you!

She falls asleep faster and sleeps longer like this. I constantly check on her, and sometimes remove it from her face, but she puts it back or fusses. Should I worry, or is this harmless now that she’s 4 months old? It’s one of the gerber prefold cloth diapers I use as a burp rag. What do you think? Thanks!
she usually has a pacifier in her mouth as well
oh, and i should probably mention that this is only when she sleeps in her swing.. not in her crib!
