My little girl is not fat but is just much bigger than other kids her age. She is not quite two and weighs 40 lbs and is 40 inches tall. The doctor says that she is one of the healthiest toddlers she has seen. My problem is though that I can’t find clothes to fit her. Because of her waist she needs a 5T but her legs are more like a 2T or 3T. So I am constantly buying really long pants and then rolling them up. It is just frustrating. Why can’t I find clothes that fit my daughter!!! If you have any suggestions on where to look I would appreciate it. Thanks

So I was sitting here folding laundry, and I was thinking man, my 2 1/2 year old is tiny, I mean she can still wear some 18m clothes, and 2T are WAY too big, so I figured I would see what sizes all of your kiddos wear!
Mine are:
Jacob(8)- Boys size 10 or Medium-Childrens size 3 shoes
Braeydon(5)- Boys size 5/6 or 5T- Toddlers size 13 shoe
Avery(3)- Girls size 3T or 3/4- Toddlers size 10 shoes
Madison(2) Girls size 18/24months- Toddlers size 8
Mackenna(1month)- Infants size newborns/0-3m-0 shoes
Graeyson(1month)-Infants size newborns/0-3m-size 0 shoes
Wow, everyone sure has a diverse group! It is so hard to find good clothes and shoes nowadays! I am putting this up for vote since I cant pick everyone as the best!! Thanks!

My daughter was a preemie and is in a 2T at 4 years old. The problem comes with her pant and dress length. The 2T’s that fit in the waist are way to short for her 4 year old height. Does anyone know of a company that sells clothing to fix this problem, or how to fix this problem on my own without spending a fortune on a tailor? (I can’t sew a lick)

We have just gone fall/winter clothes shopping for the last 2 weeks for my toddler. She was a 2T before the summer and by the end, all of it was snug and short on her! We go shopping again for the cold months and find that the 3T is huge and the 2T that was once small is now a little big. Anyone else noticed this? Is there a reason? My hubby thinks it might be because toddlers now adays are bigger in size (hence the adjustable waistband for 2T that they did not have in the spring). Just wondering if I’m the only one out there!
Typically we buy the same brand because we know how it fits. For example, she has 2T jeans from Children’s Place. Fit big when we first bought, but now are short and tight to fasten. Headed back because we love their jeans and took a look at 3T. found the adjustable waist, tightened, was still too big so decided to give the 2T a try and they were also big on her even though the 2T we already owned are tight!! Same goes for Target’s Circo/ Cherokee brand and Old Navy clothes!

How do you find clothing for very petite little girls. My six year old wears 4T. My 3 year olds are close to wearing 2T or 3T. I can find pants with buttons in the waist, but do you know any other petite toddler clothing stores. I mean mainly for summer stuff: swimsuits, dresses (the ones we own are quite large!), and shirts.

I like to shop the bargains and buy items for next year. My daughter will be two in June and in a 2T. She’s pretty average size-wise. Do you think next summer she’ll be in a 3T? I know there’s really no way of knowing but what’s your experience with your own kids?
Thanks!

My son is 14 months old (15 months May 2nd) He’s currently 33 inches and weighs 27.1. He’s wearing about a 2T in everything. Shorts he can’t wear a 2t if they don’t have the elastic to tighten them so those are 18 months but his shirts have to be 24 months or 2T which I know isn’t a big difference.
Guessing he will be wearing around a 3T to 4T for Fall/Winter?
