Should you buy crib bedding sets?

I’ve heard so many people say not to use bumpers or comforters, it makes me wonder if I should even bother buying those four piece crib bedding sets at the baby stores. If I can only use the fitted sheet and the crib skirt, isn’t it a waste of money to buy a four piece set?

I was told before I had my son that is was not needed and to be safe because of sids your shouldn’t put anything else in the crib with your baby other than a sheet. I didn’t listen and bought a whole set and now all I use is the sheet so it was all pointless. Make sure you swaddle your baby tightly if it is cold and he or she is cold and have nothing lose . Also summer is coming so make sure your baby’s does not over heat. Chances are if you are hot your baby feels the same.
its not recommended. all you need is the crib sheet.
It really depends on the childs age. For a new born no. I always used a craddle for the first 5 months.
When I moved em into the crib I used bumpers and the crib sheets, but nothing else. About the only thing the sets are good for is decoration.
I never did…I just bought the sheet and crib skirt seperately and it looks great. Those crib sets are a huge waste of money because you wont use the blanket and there is really no need for a bumper. If your baby gets an arm caught in the bars they will simply cry and wake up there’s no risks with that…
I would not buy any sets for those reasons. We did get a set and never used the blanket, and I removed the bumpers as soon as my son began to roll over. It was a waste, but we’re on baby #2 and will put the room together and use it again. Take the money and buy yourself about 4-5 crib sheets instead and at least 2 mattress pad covers. Then you’ll have more than enough for quick crib changes when the baby wets the bed! Save the money — your baby will never know he was in a crib without bumpers and a comforter
I bought a set but really its a waste. All I use is the crib sheet. I use breathable bumpers instead and the comforter is just a decoration. I say just get sheets and save your money to get your child some nice bedding when they transfer to a big kid bed.
Don’t waste ur $$ eventually u will use the blanket prob but not the bumpers. If u wanna buy sets buy TODDLER BED sets. Toddler beds use a crib mattress n come with the sheets n blanket no bumper pads
