Every baby is a blessing and should be celebrated.
witht he same man?? are you saying she should find a new man?? a baby shower is a chance for much needed baby items to be givin. maybe everyone couldnt make it to all the others. i had three thrown by differnt people!! its not a bad thing!! jeez
Usually you have a baby shower for your first girl and your first boy- it does not matter who the father is.
But if she has had three baby showers I would hope the father was the same everytime.
If you don’t think it’s right, you’re not under any obligation to attend the shower or buy her anything. Why are you so against it?
I think you should only have a baby shower for your first child but thats my thoughts about it .
As long as people are willing to throw it for her and are willling to go and buy stuff for her …who cares……….if you dont like it , dont go….
In my opinion, baby showers are intended to celebrate a woman entering motherhood. After that, a welcome baby party with NO GIFTS REQUIRED is appropriate. Otherwise, it’s just another tacky gift grab. I have no issues with someone holding baby showers for a woman who either didn’t have a shower with the first baby or someone who experienced a disaster. That seems very reasonable.
Here is my suggestion. Don’t buy anything.
She can have as many showers as she likes. People can choose whether or not they want to go.
If someone else is throwing the shower then it would be rude for her to say no. But if she is throwing the shower or asked someone to throw the shower, then I would say – to me – it would look like she is just doing it to get stuff. I threw my best friend a shower for her third. But I did it because I wanted to and she never asked. I begged her to let me throw her one.
it also depends on the sex of the baby. if the first two are girls and this one is a boy then I could see how people might want to get her boy stuff… or vice versa.
omg my stepmother had a shower for her and my dads 1st and 2nd together and i thought that was pushing it ! (they were both girls and only 4 years apart)
i always thought it was just the first and under special circumstances like if your remarried to someone else and have a baby with him or if you havent had one in like more than 10 years esp if its a diffrent gender and stuff like that
but basically i always thought u just get one …
if they really want another they should just have some kind of little get together at the house with no registrys etc. thats a little more reasonable than 3 big showers … you know?
what do you mean "with the same man"? one baby with the same man or 3 different babies? either way, it doesn’t matter, the people throwing the showers have the choice of giving a shower or not. if she’s having 3 showers for one baby and you’re invited to more than one i wouldn’t worry about giving multiple gifts.
It doesn’t matter who the man is. It is a GOOD THING it IS the same man. I see nothing wrong with celebrating every child. Even if you don’t need anything for that baby. His/Her life should be celebrated either way.
Umm, I’m going to be having 2 different baby showers because my fiancee’s father’s side doesn’t get along with his mother’s side. So just because i’m having two different baby showers makes you think we don’t have the money for our child or just cause we want attention? I think not! I even told both sides of his family not to worry about it but they insisted on it.

she got almost everything she needed for a year! which was really great bc they needed all the help they could get
*****i thought u had baby showers for every baby…bc even if u have another baby a yr after the 1st, (even if they are the same sex) that baby should be able to get new things too…besides they cant share a crib, carseat, bottles, diapers, clothes, etc. I think u should have showers for every child! oh yeah, and things break. My cousin bought a playpen for my baby and it broke before it even got set up. Fortunately, we received another playpen.*****

Some people only have a baby shower for the first or maybe 1 for each gender, but some have them for all. I figure all babies should be celebrated. Especially if you didn’t keep your baby things around, you definetly need one.
I think you should have a baby shower with every baby, cause every baby is a gift and needs to have a celebration. what does it matter if its the same guy, atleast all the babies have the same daddy and it shows they love eachother. I dont care how rich u are free baby stuff is a blessing in disqusie. every mom needs help even if they could afford everything in the world, the money they save can be used for other stuff as the child grows older.
