No you aren’t the only one that has noticed. The problem starts WAY before they become parents. They have somehow given up on discipline and what you end up with is a bunch of spoiled brats with an inflated sense of entitlement. They think they should be handed whatever they want whenever the want it. This is the parents fault, obviously, if the kid knew that they were on their own if they ‘pretended’ to be grown ups they wouldn’t do it. It causes me intense fear for the future, I mean what kind of parents will THOSE kids be? They will be society and will be raising the future members of society, if thats not scary I don’t know what is. I don’t know why people don’t understand that they aren’t helping them at all by allowing them to be irresponsible and foolish. All they are doing is setting their kids up to learn really hard lessons in really hard ways, the rest of the world isn’t going to hand them anything. Come on, people are allowing themselves to be pushed around by toddlers!! I predict that the future prison population will increase dramatically!
Hey Tiff,,, i agree with you… and i am proud that you can see this happening.. we have several generations of Social Welfare Suckers…

ive noticed that too…a friend of mine is married with a 1 year old daughter and theyve been living with her dad for almost 2 years now…shes 20 and he’s 27….neither want to work but both have part time jobs…they can afford to pay for their cable and buy an xbox and games but complain that theyre broke and cant pay their credit card bill and half of her dads utility bills….my ex was also like that…always asking for his mom and dad for money…it was kinda embarrasing. I only ask for help if i really need it….now im married with a 9 month old and another on the way…we pay all of our own bills and we havent asked anyone for anything (although i do get wic but i wouldnt get if i didnt really need it right now) but yes i have noticed that especially people my age (20) seem to be moochers
no you’re right – i see it all the time myself…and although i hate to admit it am guilty of it myself… i have my reasons though which may or may not be good reasons but it’s my decision…
kudos to you and your hubby for being self sufficient… you two would be great role models for young parents…
It is quite noticable these days=the parents are mostly to blame
because if they refused to foot the bill, they’d be on their own (the
moochers).Like you, I grew up knowing that if I was going to have anything, I was going to have to work for it==my father gave you nothing you did not work for! Parents these days,in the misguided attempt to secure their childrens’ love, give them everything with no strings of having earned it for themselves.Most don’t understand the work ethic,or sadly, expect something for nothing.
we could save cash by putting more funds into into checking all of the goverment welfare companies that way someone has twelve children they want welfare you come in unannounced one day and BAM
