every now and then i like to dress my daughter up in designer/brand name clothing. however i cant afford full price. keep shopping the sales racks and go into expensive stores, buy winter clothing when its summer and buy summer clothing when its winter (you’ll have to buy larger sizes so that when the next season rolls around the clothes will fit your child). last summer i went to Macy’s and bought a couple pairs of ugg styled boots for my daughter originally $30 bucks a pair i got them for $5 a pair, i got her ones to wear for this fall and then a larger pair for the winter or next fall. another way to save on great clothing is to go to places like tjmaxx or ajwright. a couple months ago i bought my daughter an xoxo swim suit that had the tag price of $45 i only paid $2, i also got her an adorable apple bottoms sweat suit for $10. places like these sell *new* clothing (i dont like to buy used clothing either specially if im paying more than stores like these sell the items for) that might be out of stock/ over stock/ or a season behind. the outfits dont go for more than 16 dollars and if you search the clarence area its such a deal. i can go to walmart and get a child of mine brand pj set and pay $12 or go to tjmaxx and pay $3 for the same one. the only thing about places like this you will have to search top to bottom and buy the item as soon as you find it because chances are you wont find it the next time you go. even burlington coat factory has decent prices, look around take your time and enjoy the shopping!
where I live they have A J Wright and Rainbow shops where all the brand clothing is way cheap. Burlington Coat Factory also has brand clothing at a very good price.
*Some* people who are broke dress their children in designer clothing because they don’t have their priorities in order. They would rather blow their minimum – wage paycheck (or worse, their welfare check) on the ridiculously overpriced sweatshirt than buy things that their children truly need. Others shop at stores such as Marshalls, TX Maxx, or go on Ebay. My husband and I are financially secure and dress our son nicely, but we do not spend a fortune on clothes. I mean, an $80 sweater for a young child? That’s absurd. I’m not going to waste money just because a t shirt has a certain tag on it. I shop at the above mentioned stores, and I’m a big fan of Ebay.
Also remember that your daughter doesn’t need a tiny polo player embroidered on her shirt to look cute and stay warm. Stores like Target and Kohls have extremely cute and well made clothes that don’t cost much.
Try Ross. I always get name brand stuff for cheap!

Why buy name brand clothing for your children? It is a waste of money and they will grow out of them quick. Children can still look nice in inexpensive clothing.
Children should not expect to get name brand items all the time. What if one day they expect a name brand item, the latest fashion in clothing and you cannot afford it? I would never buy my children name brand clothing. I am not cheap, just practical. If my children want name brand clothing, when they are old enough to get a job, then they can work for what they want.
