I would suggest that you put an add in the paper so that someone is aware that you are giving them to someone in need.
Give it to goodwill they could always use it
Why would you wear baby clothes?
hahaha just kidding
You already have great ideas for a destination. Call a couple of churches. They can give you addresses and locations of several places who really need these items.
Give them to a Crisis Pregnancy Center.
Contact local churches. They often will have a "clothes closet" where they get the clothes to people who need them. And, they do not sell them.
You may also try Planned Parenthood, Save-A-Life or any other pro-life group that helps new moms get started.
dont give away your babys clothes !! they will want to see it when theyre older
I don’t know about Michigan, but in Ohio, it would be Goodwill.
I like that…"gently worn". contact your local social services agency or a church. they would know who needs them most. our community food pantry also distributes used clothing.
look up homes for battered women and children, or children of abuse. i found those to be the best charities to donate to, and they are not hard to find. usually, you can just look it up in the phone book. i also donate items of my kids clothing to daycare centers. they can always use such items. i hope this helped
yes give them to a shelter or a goodwill wash them first
Post the items on your local freecycle.
Hi Lindsey,
What a great kindly gesture, over here in the UK most non-resalable charity institutions collect ie: third world.
Kind regards….

Your local churches will sometimes accept donations for people who are less fortunate. You may also try the Y or police station for locations. I think it’s a nice thing you’re doing, very thoughtful.
well, all thrift stores, like the Salvation Army, is a non- profit organization that if you work there, you don’t get paid, you just join to help, and ALL of the money goes directly to charity.
More thrift stores are:
Good Will
Salvation Army
America Thrift
so, if you give the baby clothes to the Salvation Army, every last penny goes to charity.
aww..God bless you sweetie. Try actually taking them to a church or directly to a womens shelter
I am not sure where in Michigan you live, but if you live in Grand Rapids, there is a store that takes donations call twice nice on 28th st and Ivanrest or there is another place on 68th and division by Pine rest. I am not sure if this will help you otherwise Mel Trotter is a good place to donate.
Check with community service organizations in your area. There are those that do give them to needy families.
Look in your yellow pages for abortion alternatives and you’ll find listing for a Life Center or similar organization that helps women who are pregnant and in difficult circumstances. Most help not just unmarried or teen moms but any mom and baby in a crisis need. Most of these would love to have your donation of baby things. Another possibility is Freecycle where you would offer the clothes by net directly to ppl who need them. Go to the main Yahoo page then click groups to find the Freecycle group for your area. Re: Salvation Army however you do need to understand that in general they sell things for very little to make it possible for poor ppl to get them, give away a lot out of their stores and use whatever "profit" there is for things like providing food and shelter for ppl in need. They are not selling them just to have a business and put $ in their bank account.
Call the police department non-emergency phone # and ask them if there is a local woman’s shelter & where is it.
