I have 4 drawers that I can’t find anything to baby proof them. Any suggestions?
In my kitchen I have 4 drawers that are all stacked together. And i can’t find anything to baby proof them with. These drawers are the only thing keeping my son out of the kitchen, because there are knives in there. I tired to use those cabinet things that you have to push down to open, but they don’t fit (we live in a mobile home). I also bought some Safety first plastic things that you fasten to the side and then you can push it in and its kind of like a belt buckle. bc the wood of our cabinets are fake, they didnt stick! Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can baby proof these drawers? We have baby gates up now, but im so tired of them, they are such a hastle to go over and over 20 times a day!

I had a similar situation with my drawers and babies and found no child proofing device that worked. Ours were metal tho.
I used a yard stick ran down the handles of the drawers this will prevent him from being able to open them (until he gets older anyway)
I would also suggest you move the knives to an upper drawer or even in a plastic container on top of the fridge for now and use the lowest drawer for a mini toy box. Rotate these toys out every week or so. This will keep the little man busy while you cook etc. I put stupid things in my "kids drawer" Old soup ladles and Tupperware containers. Baby food jars with some wooden blocks. My kids LOVED putting the blocks or a small washcloth in the containers and trying to get them out. You will find when you give him one spot he can dig thru and play, and then vary it up a bit with what is inside, he will keep coming back to that drawer only. Hope that helps!
if you dont mind a little inconvenience get a piece of wood longer than the height of the 4 drawers and slide it down inside each handle
What about linking a string from each drawer around the handle. It might be frustrating undoing them when you want something out of them.
Or move the knives to a different location and place something else in there ?
Yes Go to Target, They have a complete kit. They are little latches that hook on inside, Hard to push down. works great, Even almost adult proof. It is the same for cabinets.
