They wanted to give me $10 for Johnny’s exersaucer.
Needless to say, the exersaucer is in my car. I’ll save it for the yard sale I’ll have this spring.
is this your local consignment shop? If so that is about right. I have sold some things at my local shop and don’t get a whole lot for them but then turn around and see them selling my items for close to retail. Have you tried craigslist for selling your baby clothes, or if you have name brands you can try ebay. Some times non name brand goes well on ebay you just have to pair them in good size lots.
Good luck
Don’t waste your time. I took so many clothes and things to them one time and I got no more than 30 bucks. I’d rather keep all my baby things and give them away to people i know
I’ve never sold baby clothes at Once Upon a Child because I have heard from friends that they don’t pay much.
If you have access to a computer and a digital camera, consider selling your baby clothes on Ebay.
A typical "lot" of baby clothing might include 5 complete outfits and sell for approximately $50. I buy my son’s clothing on Ebay and I sell it on Ebay when he outgrows it.
If you don’t have an Ebay account, the first step is to register at the site. Then, search for open auctions and bookmark them in "My Ebay." Watch the auctions to get a feel for what type of clothing is popular (or similar to what you have) and how much it typically sells for. Read several auctions to learn what type of information and what type of detail helps items sell.
If you’re not comfortable with Ebay, try contacting your local Early Childhood PTA. Many PTA organizations have Nearly New kids sales a couple of times a year. You can rent a table at the sale and sell your baby items to people looking for them. These sales are very popular and they are a good way to get rid of the clothing you don’t need and make some good money at the same time.
Good luck!
I didn’t think it was worth the time or effort. What I did was give them away on Freecycle, so I know they went somewhere they were needed.
Not as much as I could get for the child himself.
Any takers?
You’re better off selling them yourself on ebay or craigslist….or if you are feeling charitable…you can ‘trade" things on http://www.swapbabygoods.com .
Consignment stores generally take a big bite of your profits…why pay them when now a days, with a computer you can do it yourself for free?
Such a waste of time, they pay nothing. And by they I mean any 2nd hand baby/children’s store
I sold Bella’s stroller, car seat, pack n play, bouncer, and 4 bags of clothes and they gave me $75. Everything was less than a year old and in perfect condition. I feel I was robbed, but I was moving and it needed to go so…
Yard sale or Craigslist, you can do so much better.
Yea I got about that for a whole 5 gallon tote of infant clothing my girls never could ever wear and they still had their tags on them. Sure its great to go there and pick stuff up but they sure screw you over when you bring stuff in. I have not returned to give them my old baby stuff nor will I. I use a Free Market site thats Twin Cities based, Craigs list or Ebay. Or if someone I know who is in need or knows someone I pass it along.
