Well for some odd reason I registered for & got a white sheet with brown & pink polka dots. And it doesn't match at all but I thought it was cute. It's on the mattress now. Doesn't bother me any. So, thats what my hubby and I were planning to do. Get a few sets of sheets in our theme and then others that are just plain in color to match it. That way you don't need to worry about things matching! Interested in seeing what others say though, as this is my first pregnancy! I would say you need about 5-10 fitted sheets. I have 5 and I probably would have gone crazy if I had any less. Other than that all you need multiples of bedding wise is receiving blankets (you'll find a lot more uses for them than just as blankets).
