My son doesn’t really grab or reach for things… I mean he recently has started to somewhat swat at things but not grab. He also recently started to kick things with his feet like when laying on his back on his playmat. We both have preemies if I recall correctly and I think I’ve stated before about adjusted age but i think it’s normal for them not to really interact too much with toys yet as you’ll notice most are 6mo++! Don’t worry about it when she wants to she will start =] You can place things in her hands and reach her hands at things. Toys that have cause and effect will help her with this I think because she understands that if she touches it, something will happen. Our bouncer is the Fisherprice Rainforest one and it has a setting where the baby has to touch the animals to make it light up and sing and my son got the hang of it almost immediately.
You don’t. Don’t worry about it. Sounds like you should get a play mat. My baby loved the play mat it kept her very enteratined until she was sitting. One like this would be great: http://www.made-in-china.com/image/2f0j00CByaGoHWhDqIM/Sea-World-Play-Mat-PM80701-.jpg
You can get them at most stores that sell baby toys. Best toy I ever bought. Easy place for sleeping when traveling also.
my son was almost 3 months old before he would reach for things 4 months before he actually grabbed them and got them to his mouth. All babies develop differently but she should probably start batting and grabbing with in the next few weeks.
she may still not quite be ready yet. my daughter would just watch everything for the longest time, but when she started doing things she really took off! I think it was around 4 months when she started playing with toys, before that she liked to lay on her play mat and watch the lights light up and move.
