When I had my baby shower I just put adults only.. My friends understood since it was done at my house and I dont have a big house and they all have little kids. They all know how kids can be a hassle when it comes to parties esp I was pregnant and the house was already cleaned and set up for the baby to come. Having many kids, they might ruin the nursery, spill food on the floor, run around and so on.
Just put the parents on there, then if they need to bring there child they’ll probably just ask if they can.
Don’t even mention children… Those who have questions will call and ask…. My experience is most people don’t bring older kids as bb showers are usually boring but also used as an excuse to be away from the kids for "girl time"
I would just address it to the parents and not mention the kids at all. When they call to R.S.V.P. just ask "and is little timmy coming with you?" so you know if they are coming or not. If someone invited me to a baby shower I would just assume my daughter was invited as well because we always go places together.
Address it to the person and family.
