Maybe I’ve just led a sheltered life, but I’ve never heard of anyone having a baby shower except in American TV shows and films, and I’m from Ireland. I don’t think it’s really a thing we do here. If someone’s having a baby, her friends might just give her gifts of their own accord, maybe after the baby is born, but not at a special party. At least that’s what I’ve always seen with my friends and relatives.
We don’t do baby showers here – people often bring presents after the baby is born, or at the Christening though. Maybe you could do something like make buns (cupcakes) with green icing (frosting), Bailey’s coffees or cocoas (make coffee or hot chocolate as usual, add Bailey’s liqueur and cream. Yummy)
