My son was only a month premature, but he is now bigger than his age-based clothing size. I think that you really can’t tell, even with preemies. He is now, a 14 month old that wears 18-24 month clothes. I have friends with a baby that was full term and is a full year older that wears the same size. I think you can’t predict with preemies any more than you can with full term babies.
My son was born as a preemie at 5 Lbs now he is 5 months old and is in 3-6 month clothes and he is 16 Lbs..It was hard to determine what size he was gonna be I go on weight not age…most 0-3 month clothes go up to 12 Lbs….Hope I helped a lil bit
My son was 5lbs 9oz and was 4 weeks early. At his 2 month checkup he was 11lbs 3 oz! He is now 3 months old and probably every bit of 15 lbs. I guess it really just all depends on the child.
