The boxes they come in are HUGE and bulky. What kind of vehicle does your mother drive? If it's a small car then I would say she's going to have problems getting it to fit in. Check out Babies R Us for cribs, that's where we got ours. Some of them are a little pricier but you get what you pay for. We got a transitional crib from there so our baby will be able to use it as he grows. Ours was around $400. Also you can read all the reviews from other consumers on their website. We were able to fit ours in the back of a CR-V (small SUV) with the seats pushed down. Our cribs were purchased used from a woman on Craigs List . . . but we also shopped Babies R Us before deciding.
