Yeah. Thank gosh I got all my newborn clothing from my aunt who just had a baby boy but didn’t know the sex until he was born so she had to do all the hard work lol.
But me and hubby have tried buying some gender neutral clothing and it’s pretty blah.
I went to the mall the other day and went to please mom and gymboree and I CANT WAIT! to buy pink or blue. It becomes so much more exciting
Hubby went out on a limb though and bought a pair of baby boy sneakers so we’ll see. (Fingers crossed baby is a girl! I want tea parties and the pink ballerina outfits and see hubby coaxed into playing dress up hahaha)
Best of luck!! October is so close! I’m due the 4th yikes!! It’s becoming even more real than what it was last month,
yeah it is pretty hard to find gender nutral clothes, target has a way better selection then walmart, also if you have a berlington coat factory thats a good place to try.
I say the only things easy to purchase at this time are going to be onesies, and socks, and maybe neutral pajamas. I heard that since babies spit up so much and stuff that you will be changing them a ton, washing clothes a ton, and eventually throwing things away cause they wont come clean anymore. Plus they grow so fast. So i would stick with basics at this point until you find out. Im finding out monday! i cannot wait!
unisex is hard to find and usually boring boring boring lol
Its really hard to wait but maybe just buy some white singlets, onesies socks, bibs etc…and other small baby stuff like lotion, wash, wipes and stuff that you are going to use regardless. Look at diaper bags and baby monitors and get your baby fix that way!
best of luck
try BabiesRus
For my older brother, my parents thought he was going to be a girl, so they went out and brought a whole bunch of pink baby stuff (room decor, clothes, and stuffed dolls.)
They have a tape of him being born. And it funny because my dad is holding the video camera and a basket full of girls clothing. When the doctor holds him up and says ‘It’s a BOY!" Both of my parents start laughing.
Depends what you like. If you like bright colors then you could go for purples, greens, yellows, oranges, reds etc – any of them would be ok for a boy or a girl. But if you prefer the more pastel type colors you could go for white, lemon or even a delicate mint green is really pretty. But dont buy too much really small stuff because babies grow really fast and he/she wouldnt get a chance to wear it all before they outgrow it. A good idea is to buy some small stuff for when bub first arrives and also buy a few slightly larger items so bub will have something to wear when he/she starts to stack on the weight. Good luck!!
Sure white clothes, yellow, green, brown, those are pretty neutral in color.
But I also like a diversity of color in my children’s wardrobe, how boring to have all pink or all blue based on gender
We didn’t know what we were having — we bought/got a lot of green and yellow. I just looked wherever I went — TJ Maxx, Ross, Target, Carter’s, etc (you’re right, they are hard to find). I will say, that once our son was born, we didn’t really want to put him in the yellow things. Those somehow seemed more feminine. Greens are good either way I think. I found some clothes at baby gap that were kind of a light tan, and those worked for either. My son wore them. And I figured if I had a girl, I could just put a purple hat on her.
Once you find out, and for sure once your baby is born, you’ll probably receive a lot of gender specific clothes.
sears and jc penny have alot of gender neutral stuff, but we just waited.they still get the sex wrong tho so we are hoping it doesnt happen to us because it happened to both our cousins so we are just hoping they were right lol. we actually got alot of cute gender neutral stuff at yard sales, we have family that goes and they found a cute yellow sleeper that could be for either or. its crazy tho because tho we are having a girl we hate girly stuff like pink so we are trying to find stuff neutral in color and its a challenge without buying expensive stuff.
try hitting up yard sales tho, they are cheap and you can find alot of great stuff. we have the cutest stuff from yard sales that looks almost new no stains or anything. alot of times you can get brand new stuff.
