It’s SO sweet that you are giving her a shower! That’s SO nice of you and her friends! I have to say though, I would go about this shower as you do any other, treat this as this child is her own and that’s going to mean SO much to her! She knows the child is adopted and all of you already know that, but if you show her that you’ve all accepted this child as her own that’s going to mean SO much to her! I mean I wouldn’t go and measure her belly and play those games, but I would do the other things that are normal to a shower and make her know that you all see this baby as her’s already and not adopted, but her’s, I think that would mean SO much to her!
There’s a say that says, "when a child is born, so is a mother" that could mean a lot here. That saying is used all the time with moms and babies, it’s about how babies bring out the mommy in women when they’re born.
I agree with the other posters though, I would do either blue or pink and go with that on the cake and make her feel like this is a normal shower. She is going to feel SO happy and special that you all did this for her anything that you do is going to mean SO much to her!
It is really a sweet thing that you are all doing this for her! I wish her and her husband many happy years filled with love with their new baby! I hope she has a great shower!
Just do the cake like you would if the baby was not adopted.

I suggest a green or yellow cake
with the words CONGRATS ON THE NEW CHILDS
iN PINK FROSTING.
Maybe jungle animal prints or liight pastel!!
How about a gift box, with a baby in a blanket? …. Or 2 hands, with the baby in a blanket across the palms …..
Make a heart shaped cake and put true love on it….
