Am I the only one that finds this odd?

I have been dating this man for a few months now and he picks out baby names. He has a girl name and a boy name picked out for his future children. Sometimes when we are in a store and we pass the baby section, he will show me cute baby clothes. I asked him if he wanted a baby and he said he does in the future. Im not planning on having a baby with him, we just started dating, but I find it so werid to have a conversation with a man about baby names. What do you all think?

Oh well this does sound kinda creepy. I think you need to get away from this guy.. he might be sweet but he sounds needy.

Ditch the dude, he sounds desperate to have a child. If you aren’t comfortable, either tell him you aren’t ready and its too soon to even think about that or just break up.
you should find that as a good thing. to me personally, if a man doesnt want kids, that becomed a big turn off. atleast you know he will care.
thats pretty weird, but maybe he just wants to let u know that he is a "family" man, that he’s not scarred of having kids…lol
I do not think it is odd at all to be serious and decisive about something so important as the name you are going to stick a child with for the entirety of its life. I say this as the father of five I’ve raised as my own of which only one was between my wife and I. It could be he does not actually like the one he was saddled with and he wants to choose names for his children that will make up for that. In any event, the fact that this is a somewhat high priority to him shows him to be of caring potential as a dad and should be encouraged. In this aspect, you are lucky to have found him.
