i know how to knit quite well, but its really had for me to cast on 100 stitches. i wont have a sewing machine. is there any was to make a CUTE baby blanket without one?

I know it would match with the espresso colored crib, but the crib I would like to get in espresso doesn’t come with a matching dresser for some reason and it does have a matching dresser in cherry. So could someone please tell me if it would look okay.

My dream has always been to design clothes. I have always wanted to be a fashion designer however, I lost sight of that dream since I got married and had a baby. I don’t know how to sew or anything but would love to learn. I would love to design and sell my clothes online. Does anyone have any tips? I’m not sure if I should go for it or not. I really don’t want to fail but I guess that I will never know if I don’t try… Does anyone know if there are any gov’t grants for people starting their own small business? Where can I find it if so? Can anyone reccomend a good beginner sewing machine? Any beginner fashion design and/or sewing books to get me started? Anything else you have to offer would be great – thanks. Oh and I am in my early to mid 20′s do you think that is too old to start desinging fashion?

I really struggle to find clothes to suit me and my shape and would really love some suggestions for some basic pieces for my wardrobe. I have huge boobs, 36J, and i think broad shoulders. I’ve had a baby recently so have a bit of a belly (i weigh about 12 stone). The main problem i have is that the lower half of me is completely disproportionate to the top half, i have quite slim legs, absolutely no arse whatsoever and really small hips. I usually wear size 12 jeans which are tight on the waist but a little baggy everywhere else so if i wear size 14 they are usually really baggy around the bum and legs and look ridiculous! I think i’m what is known as a classic ‘Apple’ shape!
I would love some advice as to what style of tops and jeans, just some basic pieces that i should invest in….Many thanks
